Week 4: Courseware Design Fundamentals : Information Design

This is the most crucial part..Dr. Jamal is correct when he said that doing implimentation table is the most difficult part when designing the courseware.. The activity that we are going to do must be linked with certain theories behind it..Yes, it is avery very very challenging task..even we had 4 people in the group, we really need to brainstorm on everything and the activity are keep changing to be suit with the learning theories..pheww..!what a difficult task..huhu

so, we come out with this table..

Week 3: Multimedia Project Management

  • Processes in multimedia development.
In the class, Dr. Jamal did show us overall process of developing a courseware which generally follows six major stages according to ADDIE model.
  • Courseware definition and planning (Analysis)
  • Information architecture (Analysis)
  • Courseware design (Design)
  • Courseware construction (Development)
  • Courseware marketing/implementation (Implementation)
  • Tracking, evaluation, and maintenance (Evaluation)
And this is the analysis (needs/requirements) for my multimedia project

  • Audience analysis: Who is it for?
               - our project is develop for form 2 students from urban and rural school
  • Needs analysis: Why develop it?
             - students rarely get input for Literature component except from learning it in the class
             - there are not much resources on the Literature component outside school. Hopefully, this
courseware will help them to get a better understanding on the Literature part.
  • Content analysis: What will it cover?
            - The courseware will cover the topic of Language for aesthetic use (Literature) which is the Drama in
               the text book (RUMPELSTILTSKIN)
            - Students will be expose on some component in the drama such as synopsis, plot, setting, characters
               and moral values

            - The courseware will be in CD-ROM
            - Using adobe flash and adobe photoshop
  • Estimate: When will it get done?
          - Before the end of this course
  • Where: platform, marketing and distribution?
         - Secondary school

W2: Multimedia Development Process

Okay, this week Dr.Jamal did exposed us on Instructional Design Model which can be used to develop a courseware.. and the most remembered one is for sure ADDIE model. It is maybe because of the name of certain people which we always found in daily life that make us easy to remember it...hehe Okay, go back to class, there is one activity that Dr.J give us which is rearrange the correct process of developing a courseware.. Even though it looks simple but it is quite hard for me to arrange it correctly..Luckily, in the end Dr.J give us the correct version. Thanks Dr..!
